The man was identified as 61-year-old Donald Majkowski, who played quarterback for the Packers from 1987 to 1992.

Bar staff told officers that Majkowski had been pushing another man when a bartender attempted to break it up. A second bartender came over to assist, and that is when Majkowski allegedly grabbed him by the throat.

Staff escorted Majkowski outside, where police made contact. The bartender later confirmed he felt no pain, but added he did not consent to being grabbed. Officers noted in their report that Majkowski appeared “extremely intoxicated” at the time.

Majkowski claimed he was “jumped” because “boyfriends of the girls at the bar were jealous of him for being a former NFL player.”

Online court records show Majkowski was cited for disorderly conduct.

A photo provided by the Associated Press shows Majkowski on the sidelines before a 2023 NFL game in Charlotte, N.C.

WEAU obtained the incident report through an open records request.
