Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) – A former Green Bay Packers quarterback has been cited following an incident at a downtown bar.
According to a police report from the Eau Claire Police Department, officers were called to Brother’s Bar on Water Street at 11:03 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2025. Reports stated that a man refused to leave after allegedly choking a staff member.

The man was identified as 61-year-old Donald Majkowski, who played quarterback for the Packers from 1987 to 1992.
Bar staff told officers that Majkowski had been pushing another man when a bartender attempted to break it up. A second bartender came over to assist, and that is when Majkowski allegedly grabbed him by the throat.
Staff escorted Majkowski outside, where police made contact. The bartender later confirmed he felt no pain, but added he did not consent to being grabbed. Officers noted in their report that Majkowski appeared “extremely intoxicated” at the time.
Majkowski claimed he was “jumped” because “boyfriends of the girls at the bar were jealous of him for being a former NFL player.”
Online court records show Majkowski was cited for disorderly conduct.

WEAU obtained the incident report through an open records request.
