Packers QB Jordan Love Donates $180K to Honor Iryna Zarutska đš
Green Bay, WI â September 10, 2025 â The heartbreaking death of Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian woman killed in Charlotte, continues to inspire acts of remembrance across the sports community. On Wednesday, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love became the latest NFL star to step forward, pledging support alongside Elon Musk.
Musk had already committed $1 million to fund murals of Zarutska in major American cities, backing an initiative launched by Intercom CEO Eogan McCabe, who contributed $500,000 in grants to artists leading the project.
Now, Love has added his own pledge with a $180,000 personal donation, explaining that Zarutskaâs story reminded him of the duty public figures carry to use their platforms for meaningful action.

âIrynaâs life was stolen far too soon, and her story is a reminder that compassion has no borders. I want to play a small part in making sure she is remembered with dignity and hope,â Love said in a statement.
The growing movement for justice has drawn global attention. Former U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly called for the death penalty for Dekarlos Brown, who has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Zarutskaâs death.
For Love, this contribution goes beyond football. It reflects his belief that leadership off the field is just as vital as on it â standing for humanity and ensuring Zarutskaâs name is honored in ways that foster unity and inspire hope.
